Christmas Open House

Last weekend my office organised the Christmas Open House for the Subang Jaya residents. The turnout was good! We had Christmas carolling, dances, quiz, songs and beatboxing too. A big thank you to our corporate sponsors - Subang Parade for the venue, McDonalds for sponsoring free nuggets and drinks, Big Apple Donuts & Coffee for discounts given on the purchase of donuts and Yamaha for the usage of their instruments.
A big thank you also to the police represented by Chief Inspector Sulaiman of SS17 police station for being present and the assistance rendered by officers of RELA. Not forgetting the residents of different races and religions who turned up with their families and friends. I was also pleasantly surprised to see the OKU residents from the recent OKU dialogue at the open house. Children were enthusiastic about answering questions relating to Christmas and the constituency.
The crowd listening to Christmas carols

Member of Parliament for Kelana Jaya YB Loh Gwo Burne and State Assemblyman for Kampung Tunku YB Lau Weng San were also present

Representatives from Sri Subramaniar Temple in PJS 7 together with committee members of Jawatankuasa Penduduk Zone 2, Bandar Sunway were also present

The music team from City Discipleship Prebysterian Church ("CDPC") leading the
crowd in singing Christmas carols

Dance item

My special assistant Timothy Ho performing with his band members

Kim performing her beatboxing number

Youth who volunteered their help serving donuts, nuggets and drinks to the crowd
This event would not have been successful without the help of CDPC - thank you to all of you from CDPC for bringing Christmas to the community. My appreciation also goes to Edward Ling, my political secretary who was also the Organising Chairman for this event and my team of assistants for working so hard to ensure the smooth running of the event.
In my speech, I thanked the people for their support all these months and I reminded them that transforming the society does not happen with just one person, it takes the entire community to play their role. Greater things are yet to be done in this city and greater things await us next year. Blessed Christmas everyone!

I wasn't there, yet just by looking at the pictures, I am so touched by the great attendance & support from all races. See, a leader with a sincere heart is enough to bring all races together, don't need big talk, round table meetings, all kinds of policies.... BRAVO YB, and thank you, thank your team & your volunteers !

To Miss Hannah :

My apologies for not informing you that the Society decides to postpone the newsletter publishing until the College reopens ( that is on the 5th of January ), as there are some slight complications which the society needs to sort out before the newsletter could be published

I'll send it to you personally once it is out

thank you, and once again, sorry for not informing

with regards:

Hey Hannah! I'm not sure if you remember me, but I was one of the volunteers from City Harvest.

Just wanna say that you've a cool blog here! :)

Really thank God for you. You're a truly compassionate and caring person. We all had so much fun serving the people food. It was an experience of a lifetime. Really! :)

Hope to see you around soon, Hannah! Keep it up!
